Set in Mull’s National Scenic Area on the north west coast of the island and in one of the most spectacular localities in Scotland, Torr Buan House is the new architect designed home of David and Joy Woodhouse.
Designed in an arc, the house takes in panoramic views from sunrise to sunset. Your very comfortable suite looks to some of Mull’s most important natural features, including the Holy Islands of Inch Kenneth and Iona, Mulls highest mountain Ben More, the huge sea Cliffs of Gribun and the historic Island of Ulva (Viking for Wolf) which was visited by the famous 18th century explorers Boswell and Johnson.
The house is set in acres of secluded and protected natural Hebridean landscape and you may see Golden Eagles, Sea Eagles, Hen Harriers, Owls and other creatures from your very own windows.
The suite has been designed to be as private as possible and the accommodation also benefits from private parking and it has its own entrance into the double bedded room which has steps down to a sitting area with TV, sliding doors to the conservatory and decked area with sun loungers and of course spectacular sea and island views.
There is an ensuite wet shower room, central heating, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer etc. The entire house is cosy and warm even in the depths of winter because of the high spec sheep’s wool insulation.
Your stay at Torr Buan House is on a Dinner Bed and Breakfast basis and picnic lunches can also be provided. We use Island produce as much as possible and this may include local lamb, beef, sea food, home grown vegetables and free range eggs etc. Joy is an excellent cook and previously owned Ulva House Hotel in Tobermory where guests would return year after year to enjoy her superb food.
Dinner, Bed and Breakfast (1st March – October 31st) £87.50 per person per night
David is one of Scotland’s top wildlife guides and his knowledge of Mull and its wildlife is second to none, he will help you to make the most of your stay on this stunning Hebridean Island.
